The Alices have it

Thanks to Mary’s tip, I was able to watch this clip, recently featured on 60 Minutes, to see Alice Waters talk about why good, clean and fair food is worth the investment.

And Alice Major will be reading in Sechelt this week, and after that points east, as she promotes her lovely book The Office Tower Tales.

  1. Great pics again, Rhona. And great info, too. I tried the potatoes in tires one year but failed to provide them with enough water to grow a decent crop. But I did get a few and found it a great way to use limited space in my yard at the time.

I see that Isa Milman is reading with David. Please pass my best wishes on to her. She’s a sister colonist from a few years ago…in fact, she stayed in my studio…

  2. Good, clean and fair food — what a great motto! I’m a natural slow-fooder, I think.

I bumped into Alice Major when I was in Victoria. What a pleasant surprise to meet her lunching at the ReBar where I’d had a spectacular rice bowl!
